Fall Gardening....

It's a wonderful, sunny day, and I've been working in the yard.

I planted:

25 Makassar Tulips (Bright Yeloow, Single Late)
25 Queen of the Night Tulips (Dark Purple, Single Late)
25 Monte Carlo Tulips (Yellow, Double early)
25 Casablanca Tulips (White, Double Late)
    50 Assorted Narcisses
    25 Corsage Tulips (Greigii, mid-season)
25 Lady Diana Tulips (Greigii, mid-season)
About a dozen Japanese Iris (yellow, variety unknown)

All on my front hill. I yanked out most of the vinca, which wasn't happy there anyway, and worked 8 big bags of topsoil into the hillside. All the little old ladies walking by ooohed and awwwed over how nice it's going to look come spring.

I also decided that I'm going to move the little sunscape daisies that I bought in September into the front, interplanted into the snow in summer. I know they're sold as annuals, but they sure act like a perennial around here.

Now, it's time to stick dinner in the oven and hop in the shower. We're going to see The Arrogant Worms!!!

Tomorrow, I'm moving the peonies, and the rest of the bearded iris, and cleaning out some of the back beds, getting them ready for winter (plus moving stuff to storage and going to the hotdish potluck! Busy day!)
