It's the beginning of the last Oriole's visit of the year, and the last time Cal Ripken will play ball in Seattle. It's nice to know that in a world of showboaty professional athletes, there are more than a few good guys. I think Cal is one of the good guys.
The crowd cheered for him when he came up to bat the first time, and he acknowledged their applause. The flash of light bulbs popping (mine included) was amazing. But he didn't have a good night, and the Mariners bagged their 101st win of this amazing season.
I love baseball. I really really do. I could go to several games a week. John would hate that many. :)
And I have tickets for two more games yet!
