The first snow panic of the year!

It's the s-word!

It's a double-s! Snow in Seattle!

It's official--they've mentioned a "chance of accumulation" for overnight tonight, sending the City into the annual panic. We may get up to two inches. Whee! Lay in supplies! Hoard the firewood! It's a possibility of snow!

To be fair, it's a city built on hills, where most people didn't grow up driving in snow, but still....it'll be the subject of conversation all day..."Do you think it will.....?" "What if it.....?" Time to dig out that inclement weather policy, and plan to be up early tomorrow morning, just in case.

I mean... yea, that'd be a shame, not being able to go into work... at all.

*whistles innocently*

Re: To Seattle I go *snort*
I went to visit my folks back in Michigan, in February, a couple of years ago and it was minus five the day I flew out of Detroit. When I got back to Seattle, it was 45 degrees and people complained that I'd brought the cold back with me.

I live with it every day ;)

Had to spend 15 minutes scraping ice off my car this morning, for a less than 5-minute drive to the park & ride. Oy.

BTW, have you been getting my email about the cookie exchange? (one today, one on Nov 23, and one the week before that) Just want to make sure.

I haven't gotten any e-mail from you about the cookie exchange. :(
are you sending to gwenhoney at yahoo dot com?

(I'll go check again...I was thinking it was odd I hadn't heard from you!)

Weird! Yep, I just checked the sent-mail folder, and that's the address I've been sending to. :( That's very bad if I can't email yahoo for some reason. Short version of the email is "sorry, but I'm not organized enough to make cookies this year, so don't count me in -- if I make it, it will be just to visit".

My car is ready...having lived in Reno my snow tires and chains in the back are on the ready! Of course I'll have to remember how to put the things on...but already have tomorrow off! HA! Oh wait, have to go to school...
