Owie...for a good cause.

We went back to the gym this weekend. Hooray for us! It's a new gym, PureFitness, just a couple miles from our house, and I think we're going to like it.

We both met with our trainers on Saturday afternoon and started to design our workout programs. Today, I ache in places I'd forgotten could hurt. But it's a good thing, because it tells me that I did work. (and it's not *that* bad, just a reminder that , wow, yes, I did use that muscle).

I've got goals. And I've got the knowledge and tools to reach them.

This is a good thing.

Yaay Meg!!! Good for you!! (And John, too!)

I got back into the pool on Saturday night... and had forgotten just *how* good it feels to put my body in *water*... and just *swim*. (Being a little part fish, I think I really miss it sometimes).

Felt good, too, to sit in the hot tub and sazuna afterward.... felt like I'd *earned* it. I love the Y; I really do. :-)

I'm not going to do the Seafair this year, but I am aiming for the Reebok Women's super-sprint in September. Quarter mile swim, 8 mile bike, 2.1 mile run. That sounds do-able, as long as I can keep my sinuses under control and get them trained to like lake water. :)

Next St. Paddy's day: The St. Paddy's Day Dash with coyotegirl, and then we'll do either the Seafair or Danskin next summer. Woo!
