Painting Party at John and Meg's

Instead of going to lirrin's this weekend, we're holding a competing party! Woo! (not really, we'd love to go to Vancouver, but we need to stay home and paint).

So, if you're in town this weekend, and feeling at a loose end, come on over. We'll be painting. We have many many different rooms and colors to select from. We have taping. We have painting. We have cutting in. We have spackling and sanding. We have lots and lots to do.

Please let us know if you want to join us, and we'll set you up with directions and such and be sure we have enough paintbrushes, rollers and paint pans to go around.

It'll be fun. Honest.

Oh, and we'll feed you. Not as well as lirrin will feed you, but we'll feed you.

For a sick girl *cough* *hack* *wink* *sniffle* (co-workers, don't tell on me!), I'm accomplishing lots today. We met with the contractor this morning, got the oil changed in the Rav4, stopped by Costco (and out for under $30, a new world record!), on the 3rd load of laundry, packed boxes, put a load in the car to drop off at the house when I head out to pick up John. Now it's time to get back to packing!

what colors did you finally choose?

We're with the Ralph Lauren/Behr paint colors.

The living room/dining room is Mysteria blue (Behr) (a blue-gray), with one accent wall in Empress Purple (RL).
The downstairs bath and the front bedroom are Wildflower Path (RL), a dark raspberry-y pink, the back bedroom is Organic Green (RL). The kitchen walls, and the walls of the stairwell and the landing are Celery Ice (Behr). Upstairs bathroom is still in flux--either blustery day (light blue gray) or a light green-gray (that I can't remember the name of). Bedroom is Club Navy (RL), Office is Venetian Red (RL).

The office and bedroom ceilings are Sweatshirt Gray (RL), everywhere else they're Swan Wing (Behr). The crown molding will be a white-white. The cabinet base, and the fireplace are Swan Wing, and the kitchen cabinet doors Asparagus. :)

It's going to be lots of fun. Hopefully, it'll be all painted, although not anywhere near unpacked when you're up next weekend.

Where did you end up deciding on for Thanksgiving dinner? We're going to Ray's.

Wow! I can't wait to see it!

Our plans are sorta in Limboland. We're waiting to see how outrageous the bids are for the french drains; they're due this week. If they are all over the Magic Number, we'll stay home. We do have a dinner rez at the W, though, just in case it all works out.

If I don't get up to see your house over TG, I will come up in early December and pitch in then!
