All Grown Up.

We sign all the papers for the house today. Hooray!

It's been 48 days since the day we went to "just talk about" how much we'd prequalify for, if we wanted to buy a house. We should have possession of the house on Friday.

This weekend, major plant migration, and the scheduling of what we need to do, in what order.

I sense many many lists in my future.

But I'm so excited I can hardly sit still.

Major congratulations. :) I'm so excited for you! I hope everything goes exactly as you'd like it to, and that all your plants live happily in their new home too.

I hope we hear all about it at Lilith's party on the 20th. And maybe some day we can see each other in local areas in which we live.

See? See? Stop being so adult and doing house fussing and come to the party. Your old house isn't rented yet anyway. :) I bet we could get people to volunteer to help paint if that's what's holding you up...

(And may I say that after reading your post, my first thought was "In the middle of our street...")

Our house...is a very very very fine house. :)

Our old house isn't rented, but we've made the commitment to be out of it by the end of the month. :)

What we need are clones. Pure and simple. Clones to pack, clones to work, clones to paint so we can go out and enjoy ourselves. :)

"...with toucans in the yard..."

(I sang that song at the opening of a Habitat for Humanity house last fall. And I kept wanting to sing it that way...bad me.)

As you can see from below....we're probably not going to make it down to Vancanouver this time. We've got a lot of painting, carpet tearing up and other stuff that we're going to try to get done before we move on the 26th.

but I'll say it publicly for the first time---we're hoping to have an open house, welcome the new year party on January 1. :)
