Monday already?

What a nice, laidback weekend, even though there was lots to do.

Saturday morning, went to Bradner, then headed up to Swansons to hit their annual September sale. Who can resist plants on sale? Grabbed a couple of glorious toad lilies, a couple penstemmons (raspberry flair and ruby), a princess flower, two obsidian huecheras and a hummingbird mint. Learned that Sky Nursery was having their one-day perennial sale--and again, who can resist plants on sale? There, I picked up a couple reblooming daylilies, some bedding plants, and a couple more penstemons (midnight). Now, I just have to finish planting them all. I got about half of them into the ground yesterday.

After the nursery run, picked up Ms. snorklet and went down to the Triathlon Expo and picked up our race packets, even though we weren't able to do the race. Got the freebies and lots of inspiration. Next year will be better for triathlons and my sinuses!

Stopped by Goodwill to drop off a big basket of stuff, and decided to go shopping. Found two skirts that will work for work and play and an absolutely perfect Ralph Lauren double breasted classic navy blue blazer--all for under $20.

Sunday, off to the Master Gardener Clinic at the West Seattle Farmers Market. It threatened to rain while we were putting up our little tent thingy, but by noon had cleared off to a wonderfully sunny day. I love working clinics at the farmer's market, because we all take turns wandering around and shopping--I got yummy veggies (rainbow chard, beets, fennel, baby bok choi, fresh roasted red peppers and basil), some raspberries and some fresh goat cheese.

Got home, went grocery shopping with my sweetie, did a little housework,(there was a desk underneath all that clutter!) made dinner, planted some of Saturday's bounty, and just relaxed. I think my brain was hoping for another 3 day weekend, but sadly, no such luck.

Sounds like a wonderful, bountiful weekend!

You know, you could come help me plant bulbs. ;)

I was thinking of you this weekend, because my cardnial climber (which I planted very very late) is finally starting to put out little red trumpets!

Plants and good organic veggies. It doesn't get much better than that. (well, the size 16 Lauren jacket helped, too!)

You know, I could totally take my show on the road and do odd jobs while I look for something I really want. :)

I'd love to help you plant bulbs. That'd be lovely.

Hey lady! Happy plant and produce shopping,, and a not too soggy day, is always a good thing.

What kind of toad lilies, and did they have more?

I have a trellis arch for you too, when you get that far. 8)

They're the "normal" purply-spotted ones.

They did have more-I didn't see any white ones, but then again, I didn't look really hard. These just kinda jumped into my box.

I totally forgot about the arch this weekend---next weekend is way less scheduled for me, or maybe some night this week...

No worries on the Arch, it's there when you have some minutes to collect it. Just let me know when you have time. You have my number. ;)

Thanks for the heads up on the toad lillies... I need to get out there sometime with a driving person, but I won't harrass any of them too much if they're not the white ones. If I can figure out a bulge in my budget, I'll order some Miyazakis from Wayside. Otherwise, I'll have to wait.
