Boxing Day Blues

Love the new job, hate losing the week of vacation between Christmas and New Years.

It was hard to crawl out of bed at o'dark thirty this morning when John got to remain cozy and asleep.

Got myself up and out, although I did forget my breakfast, which is probably sitting on the kitchen counter.

It's quiet here today--I think it'll pick back up tomorrow--there's a lot of people who decided that a 4 or 5 day weekend sounded like an outstanding idea.

Medication and caffeination through immersion..

Scientists at the U.S. Geological Survey and other agencies have documented that antibiotics, contraceptives, perfumes, painkillers, antidepressants and other substances pass through the sewage system into waterways.

King County researchers several years took caffeine measurements to try to learn whether the city's coffee drinking habits had any effect on the sound. Caffeine was found in more than 160 of 216 samples in water as deep as 640 feet.
