Relaxing Weekends are Good for the Meg.
For a weekend that was supposed to be rainy all weekend, it was awfully sunny.
Now, I'm not complaining, really, about the sunny weather. I love the warmth and sun.
But I really do wish it would rain a little. Maybe at night? Maybe a nice gentle rain to soak the yard? Oh well.
Friday night, John and I had a nice evening out for dinner and a movie. Dinner was quite yummy--Thai food from a great place around the corner, and we got downtown in plenty of time to see our movie--The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Saturday, we had a relaxing day, just hanging out around the house, having coffee with our friend Mark, making cables with Gordon (well, the boys did, I cleaned the kitchen, kinda.)
John washed our cars, and I pulled up the peas and replanted for fall. We both got some nice sunshine. Made dinner, then I headed over to
snorklet's for a soothing massage (complete with Akira-kitty). She was practicing some polarity energy work, and apparently cats are really attracted to energy work. Being a kitty-mom, it's not at all distracting to have a massage with a cat helping. :)
Sunday, we slept in, then went to root on The Mariners, which is always a fun afternoon. Since it was an afternoon game, we were home by 5, and hooked up with
snorklet for dinner and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. What a fun movie!
Looking forward to The Lavender Festival this Friday. Rhonda and I are taking the whole day off to go be girly and frolic in the lavender fields.
But first, the work week...
