Moving, moving, moving...

As moves go, this one was actually relatively easy.

Picked up the cargo van around 7:30, by 9 a.m. it was being filled (much thanks to Rhonda and Phil!), and we were out of there with the big load before the movers showed up to move the rest of the house.

Came to our place, unloaded, picked up the stuff going to storage, stopped by storage, and then back to John's old house for the last of the stuff. We were finished by 1:30. It was wonderful.

Of course, now the house looks like a warehouse of furniture and boxes, but it'll get sorted out. So far, it all fits!!! I'm just happy it's all official shacking up now. ;)

Mmmmm. BBQ.

gymgeek's Dad makes mighty fine bbq'd salmon.

Even better, the salmon is less than a week from being a happy Canadian salmon, swimming in the water.
Fresh, home-caught BBQ'd salmon. Yum.

Random Thoughts.

Waiting for the washer to finish so I can head for bed. gymgeek crashed a while ago, this sinus infection is really knocking him out.

The weather in Walla Walla is supposed to be nice this week. If I have to be in Walla Walla, at least it's nice that it's warm. Upper 80s during the day, 60s at night. I like that kind of weather.

I need to figure out where to plant the borage lirrin gifted me with yesterday. I'm thinking maybe it would make nice ground cover where the tulips bloom in the spring. I love the fuzzy leaves....I wonder how the snails would take to it...

Speaking of snails, I'm really kind of praying for a cold winter, just to kill off a few of them. They're everywhere.
It could be worse, they could be simply slugs, but I'm tired of snails!!

Sophia is a very lovey-dovey kitty tonight. I don't think she understands what "bringing her a little brother" really means. I said this at dinner tonight, at gymgeek's folks, and got a funny look from one of the dinner attendees, and felt the need to clarify that we were getting a little boy kitten not making his parents grandparents.

Okay, the washer just ground to a halt, time to to move clothes, feed the cat and go climb into bed.
