Well, that commute wasn't as bad as I thought it it would be, but still. 40 minutes in the car every morning? That would drive me insane. I guess I'm totally spoiled with being a bus commuter. Get on the bus, zone out, read, nap, whatever.

closer to fine.

so we're okay
we're fine
baby i'm here to stop your crying
chase all the ghosts from your head
i'm stronger than the monster beneath your bed
smarter than the tricks played on your heart
we'll look at them together then we'll take them apart
adding up the total of a love that's true
multiply life by the power of two

What a fun evening. We (Gordon and I) started out just to hang out on the water front, and listen (but not be able to see) Rose Polenzani and the indigo girls. As we wandered down the waterfront, we ran into some guy willing to sell tickets for less than face. He wanted $50 (face was $68), and we had $41 between us. It was a deal, and we were in.

If you haven't been to a concert on Pier 62/63, I highly recommend it. You start out in the sunshine, with a breeze coming off the Bay, and spend the night watching people roam the pier and sailboats bob up and down as they hang out near the concert. It's easy to forget that you're on a major waterfront in a major city on the major coast.

And sooz is right. Rose is wonderful. Go to http://www.rosepolenzani.com/ and you can hear for yourself.

And with that, it's bedtime.
