It's not the classic "pamper you and offer you papaya-blended drinks", but it's really nice. 3 different hot dry rooms, lots of quiet space to sit and relax, 5 different hot soaking tubs (from 64 to 105 degrees), a wet sauna and a dry sauna.
But everyone I talked to said "You *have* to get a body scrub" (which we'd already decided to do. 40 minutes of exfoliation, rinsing, massage and more exfoliation. It's very utilitarian. The scrub room is communal, with 5-6 tables set up, but oddly relaxing. And the moisturizer. 50 minutes of being rubbed down with olive oil, warm milk, honey and to top it off, a cucumber facial. Mmmm. Just plain shredded cucumber, smoother on top of a honey base.
We (this was a girl's night thing for Rhonda, Carrie and I) weren't quite sure what to expect, they'd told us to be there an hour before to soak and such. Now we know that next time we plan to spend 5-6 hours doing this. It's just utterly relaxing.
And the drive home wasn't bad--only about 40 minutes. I like the fact that they're open until 2 a.m. on the weekends.
And I must read more about mugwort. It appears to be the common thread.
