It’s almost the end of summer. Labor Day is right around the corner. There’s a list of things you’ve been going to do all summer, but now…. And the more things change, the more they stay the same.
What were you doing 20 years ago? Figuring out how you’d get back to Walla Walla.
What should you be doing right now? Figuring out how you’re going to get to Walla Walla in October.
It’s not quite the same without the ride share boards, but the paths remain constant. Whether you ride with old friends, fly into the new Regional Airport, or take the trusty Greyhound—all roads lead—eventually-- to Walla Walla.
The Reunion is scheduled for October 3-5, and we’re looking forward to seeing you there, seeing what’s the same in all of us, at Whitman, and in Walla Walla. We also look forward to seeing what’s different, how we’ve grown and changed, and how the campus and town have grown and changed.
We’ve planned a casual Friday night event at the Inn at Abeja for the Class of 1984 to relax, reminisce and catch-up. Saturday, there are events on Campus and an evening get-together with the Classes of 1982 and 1983. Sunday, enjoy breakfast at the Whitman College Café, located in the Reid Student Center, and take in a soccer game, before heading back to our own separate lives.
Registration for the reunion is easy and simple. Simply click on www.whitman.edu/alumni/reunions.htm#fall and register. You can find all the information you need: schedule of events, on-line registration, childcare information (for children 6 months to 14 years) and lodging information. For even more Walla Walla related information, visit www.wallawalla.org.
And then figure out how you’re getting to Walla Walla.
