It’s out of shape. It can’t easily do the things I’d like it to do. And it’s not just about being overweight, it’s being not fit. I’d like to be able to run further and faster, be more comfortable in small stadium seats, not huff going up more than two flights of stairs.
With some determination, though, this is fixable.
What are two things you love about your body?
--I love the way my muscles feel after I’ve been working out—they feel alive
--I like my eyes.
What are three things you want to change about your home?
--A master bedroom suite (bigger bedroom, master bath)
--More storage (closets, shelves)
--More garden space.
What are four books you want to read this year?
--Galileo’s Daughter: A Historical Memoir of Science, Faith and Love by Dava Sobel
--Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
--Guns, Germs and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies: by Jared Diamond
--Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky (I’ve been waiting for this one for a while!)
What are five promises you have kept to yourself?
--I’ve worked on making myself healthier and stronger.
--I applied to and was accepted for the Master Gardener’s Program.
--I’m not in a dead-end relationship. (I vowed, never again!) In fact, I’m in an incredibly healthy and happy relationship and will tell you more than you want to know about how absolutely head over heels happy in love I am. :)
--I’m being better about money.
--I’m slowly (very slowly) coming to grips with my inner packrat.
