Countdown to Spring--Yeah, right.

According to the calendar, next Wednesday is the first day of spring.

I planned to work in the yard last Friday, but when I woke up, there was 4-5 inches of snow out there.

I planned to work in the yard today, but it's cold and raining, and they're predicting more SNOW for tonight and tomorrow.

I can plant the California poppy seeds on the front hill, they'll be fine. I'm not so sure about sticking the hostas and daylilies out there. They need to be planted soon, though. Living in little plastic bags of sawdust is not making them the happiest plants on earth.

Maybe I just need to turn the laundry room into a nursery room.

When I have a house of my own, I want a little greenhouse.

Okay, other things on my list today (in no particular order of importance)

Wow, I can never accomplish stuff like that when I have a day off. As of the 11:30 update, you've gotten more done around the house than I can motivate myself to do in a whole day. I'm impressed.

Mind you, this is why it's fortunate that I don't mind living out of boxes.

I've lived here 2 weeks shy of two years, and there's a whole closet full of unpacked boxes.

*that's* why I'm taking advantage of these Fridays off and trying to get things done.
