Thank you, I needed that gut laugh. This after helping tear apart a book set in a Seattle that dealt with weekly thunderstorms :)

I think that the situation is serious enough to warrant staying home tomorrow. In light of the unseasonably serious weather front incoming, instead of going to work, I need to seek sanctuary in a safe place tomorrow.

Like a park. Or a poolside.

I quite agree. In fact, with this sudden and unprecedented shift in the weather, I'm afraid I'm coming down with a case of 24-hour avian flu, which will necessitate that I be quarantined in Gasworks Park.

Thankfully I work with small children, who are expected to go outside and play. Therefore, our lessons for tomorrow will be done outside.

The kids were already out in the sprinkler this afternoon. They can't wait for tomorrow.

I, for one, am not taking any chances. I'm playing hooky, and the family and I are headed for the coast. Just in case.

(I got kicked in the ass by a sever 3 day migraine from this stupid weather front. I HATE extreme weather changes. Last one I had this bad was the day before the stupid tornado in January.)

I'd offer my home with air conditioning, but if you're going to be there, you need to reschedule the air conditioner repair guy...

Just saying...
