Sometimes, it's the little things.

Last night, we went to Home Depot, to get a new burner element to replace the one I coated in aluminum (for the record, if you put a air-cushioned cookie sheet on a burner, turn the burner on high and climb in the shower, you can liquify it!) a couple weeks back.

We got a burner element (unfornately, the wrong one, so John's going to go back and trade tonight) and shiny new Drip Pans. Such a little bit of money to make such a big difference. Pretty. Shiny. Clean.

I hopped out of the shower thinking "I left the teapot on", but it was the cookie sheet that was "on". Made a huge, cool-looking mess.

Oopsie
The "get into the shower leaving a burner on" maneuver is how I once set a pot of water on fire. (Water boiled off.) :(

Found art?
I've done that before... with an el-cheapo aluminium saucepan. Water boiled off and made a really cool Rorschach blob, which I framed and hung on a wall for years. Did you save yours? It could be really neat found art if you can peel it off the burner element.
