Head in the clouds.

Ever have one of those days where your heart just isn't in your work?

I don't know if it's the sunshine outside, or the energy from getting up and working out this morning, or what, but I'm just a little spacey, and pretty easily distracted from what I'm doing here.

Luckily, I have lists.

Maybe lunch will help. :)

Woe is me.
I had to get up this morning at the crack of 10, eat breakfast, wander over to a meeting for an hour and a half, go for yogurt with two galfriends from Comcast and sit outside for another hour eating yogurt and bashing people, then come home and have 5 cubic yards of barkdust delivered. After that, I went for a walk along the river with my bud Corey, and now I'm going out to spread barkdust and pull weeds in the sunshine. After the sun goes down, it's D&D until midnight.

How shall I cope? *snicker*

i'm having a lot of days like that... but my lists and force of will are getting me through each week. to quote one of the old timers at work (of which there are few left) "sometimes you just gotta move this thing forward."

my garden is looking extra lovely this spring, esp the replanting of the deck. this is where the benighted wisteria once threatened my gardenly bliss. the last of the monster was pulled out of the ground this past weekend!

the new planting contains bamboo, a japanese maple, a bramble, wild ginger, maidenhair fern and a small cream-colored rose... it should be lovely in july...

I can't wait to see it!

I'm hoping that my yard turns into the bright carpet of color I'm envisioning. It's feeling so good to be out there working in it.

But I am so glad that it's Friday. A couple days off sound heavenly.
